This book moves quickly, perhaps at times too quickly, as it rushes towards a climax. Unfortunately, the superb character development seen in the first two books is pretty much sacrificed in favor of action. Unlike Before the Storm and Shield of Lies, the chapters often contain more than one of the three story lines running through the book. This could become annoying and tedious as I feel the author never spends enough time on any of the three. But that's a small complaint. The resolution does not let one down, the book is well written and fast paced and the characters remain true to themselves.
